Classically trained in Japan, Yuko discovered jazz, R&B, hip hop, and blues as a teenager—sparking an extraordinary musical journey. After moving to Los
Angeles to study jazz, she quickly connected with top musicians who helped shape her distinctive sound.
She has since performed at leading venues and major festivals, including Walt
Disney Concert Hall, the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Atlanta Jazz Festival, and the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
Blending classical technique with jazz improvisation and Caribbean and Latin
influences, Yuko has developed a unique, genre-defying style. Her growing
discography includes standout releases such as The Yuko Mabuchi Trio (Yarlung
Records), Tribute to Miles, named “Jazz Album of the Year” by Native DSD, and
The Caribbean Canvas (Vista, 2022). Her latest works, QUANTUM (Vista, 2025) and
singles Ethereal (SRGJazz, 2025) and Paradiso (SRGJazz, 2026) Yuko’s newest album project, “Never Out of Style” is set for release July 10th.
Through her distinctive fusion of genres, Yuko creates a universal language of
rhythm and melody that resonates deeply with audiences around the world.
Whether performing in an intimate setting or on a grand festival stage, her music leaves a lasting impression, marked by emotional authenticity, artistry, and inspiration.
